Vietnam is keenly eyeing the benefits to come from
adopting a strategy that focuses primarily on sustainable
development and green growth. The talk is now on
something approaching specifics, as while the country’s
intentions are honorable it is imperative that its methods
are not only suitable with its potential but also within its
financial wherewithal. While the commitment made by
the Prime Minister at the COP26 gathering last November
to strive for net-zero emissions made the headlines, it is
simply one element of where Vietnam hopes to be come
2050 and beyond.
