Exports have long been a key driver of Vietnam’s
economic growth, and while almost all indicators have
taken a hit over the last two years the country’s
exporters have largely managed to keep shipments
heading out. While this speaks volumes about the
country’s export enterprises, the fact is that the best
performers are foreign enterprises, and this is a matter
of growing concern. Behind the impressive growth
figures, however, lie the free trade agreements (FTAs)
Vietnam has signed in recent years, which have already
been a boon for inbound investment and exports alike.
